[Asec] Slavic Forum Event Reminder - Journalism in Russia and Ukraine (Fri, Mar 25 at 1:30pm)

The Slavic Literature and Culture Forum would like to share an upcoming event that may be of interest to you and your students.



The Forum event, originally entitled “Journalism in the Slavic World”, will take place on Friday, March 25 at 1:30-2:30pm on Zoom. Our guest speakers are Jonathan Brown, Agence France-Presse Correspondent in Moscow and Emile Ducke, award-winning Moscow-based German documentary photographer (website<https://emileducke.de/> and Instagram<https://www.instagram.com/emileducke/>).



Originally designed as a panel to discuss journalism in the Slavic world, the nature of this event has evolved, and will focus on journalism in Russia and Ukraine during the Russian Invasion of Ukraine. Emile is currently on the ground in Ukraine bearing witness to the humanitarian fallout, and Jonathan has continued journalism work in Moscow.
